Today, a kind and experienced volunteer offered to put together the translated packaging for Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei II (for the Famicom), since that's the only thing that is holding back the release of the American English translation patch. Best of luck to them.

Era effettivamente strano che non fosse ancora uscito, chi se ne era fatto carico deve aver dato buca.

After tinkering with it for a bit, it turns out that only the installer for the PC port of Persona 1 is 16 bit; if you launch the executable directly instead, the game works flawlessly on any modern OS*

*It's possible that there are some DirectX problems later on

Good news for fans of Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei II on the Famicom: The image editor who volunteered to put together the packaging is doing a bang-up job so far, having already edited up to page seventeen of the manual!

(Once they're done, the patch will be released!)

I should add, this doesn't mean that the game is going to be released anytime soon. More like an announcement. Still, with one route already translated, I'd like to have something relatively playable out soonish.

Nine mancava all'appello. Chissà che prima o poi qualcuno non provi a tradurre anche Ronde.

The issue with the Megami Tensei II patch is basically an NES header issue and because of the checksum requirements of xdelta and BPS, the patches will fail. You can go to http://romhacking.net/patch where you can patch it and everything will be fine.

Update on Giten translation. Progress has been steady, and I'm now over halfway done. I hope to have a release ready sometime this summer with the full story translated (possibly missing side-content/demon negotiations), at which point I'll open it for play testing.

As for NINE, I have finished developing the necessary tools for translating the game, but won't start working on it until Giten is done. I did consider shifting my focus onto NINE, since for me personally it's the far more interesting game, but I think this order makes more sense

L'autore della patch iOS -> GBA del primo SMT non c'entra.

Inviterei a non scaricarla e ad attendere un rilascio "normale", non ho trovato nulla riguardo ad un eventuale progetto.
